On Tuesday, February 21, Congressman John Barrow (GA-12) will host a USDA Rural Development Workshop in Claxton to help local constituents learn about valuable programs and services that exist at USDA’s Office of Rural Development to help local business and ventures succeed during these tough economic times. The event will take place from 9:00am – 12:00pm at the John Neder Center (Evans County Recreation Department) located at 158 Recreation Department Road in Claxton.
“With all the partisan gridlock people see on TV, folks often forget that government is about providing services and help to citizens,” said Congressman Barrow (GA-12). “I hope folks find Tuesday’s workshop valuable and that they come away with a better sense of programs and funding opportunities that are available to them. Times are tough for far too many Georgians, but there are a lot of things that we can do to help, and I hope folks know that my door is always open to them.”
